Those who wish to present either in oral or posters are requested to submit the followings:
1. Registration Form: Deadline is 1 August 2008
This is for the planning of sessions. It will be submitted to the forum secretariat: wlf@iclhq.org

2. Real registration for participation should be done not later than 30 September through Web registration of Kinki Nippon Tourist Co., Ltd.:

3. Abstract: Deadline is 1 July 2008
This is not published, but the in advance information for session conveners and WLF secretariat for session organizations and programming.

4. Paper to Mono-color Proceedings.
Mono-color proceedings will be published for Information to Participants and to promote discussion and information exchange. The page length is 4 pages. Please follow the format. Each paper will be reviewed by session conveners, but not edited.

5. Paper to WEB Proceedings
Full color WEB proceedings will be made for Information to Participants and Non-participants with page number through all papers.
The page length is 4-20 pages.

6. Financial Supports: Those who need financial supports are requested to submit the application form by 1 May 2008. Application will be examined based on the priority, submitted papers, and justification of necessity. The result will be informed not later than 30 September 2008.

7. NOTE: Oral and Poster presenters are limited to those who are sure to attend to avoid empty session time and the arrangement and display of non-used poster boards.

The First World Landslide Forum is a global cooperation platform for all types of organizations and individuals. It is neither a pure scientific/engineering meeting, nor a pure governmental and intergovernmental meeting, but a meeting cross-cutting many fields which may contribute to landslide and other related earth system disaster reduction. Your presentation of your activities in this First World Landslide Forum will contribute for the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction.
You are invited to apply to already proposed sessions, or Topic 1 to 7. Your proposal of sessions are also welcome when you know several presenters for the proposed sessions. The final sessions will be decided depending on the number of registrations for the sessions.

HOW TO REGISTER
Please download and fill a form of Registration for Presentation and a form of Abstract.

Procedure how to provide:
Form of "Registration for Presentation"

Fill all yellow-colored cells.
* Choose preferred sessions （*Max 2) *and write the number and the title in
the registration form.
** Leave the preferred category of presentation in the cell and delete the unnecessary one.
Put the file name with your full name.(e.g.- if a presenter's name is John Smith, the file name must be "johnsmith.exl".)
If you like to register two or more presentations, provide registration forms for each presentation and put the serial number at the end of your full name.(e.g.- johnsmith1.exl, johnsmith2,exl)

Form of "Abstract"

Fill all necessary information and provide the abstract (one or two pages only) in a form of "Abstract".
Convert the format of your "doc" file to "pdf".
Put the file name with your full name.(e.g.- if a presenter's name is John Smith, the file name must be "johnsmith.pdf".)

Procedure how to submit:

Send both the registration form and the abstract together as attached files to the following e-mail address.
